Lisk is a platform for building decentralized applications, developed by Max Kordek and Oliver Beddows. The virtual currency (LSK) used in the platform is called "Lisk" as well.
Decentralized Applications (abbreviated as DApps) are applications that run without a central administrator, such as a company or bank.
DApps allow all participants using the application to manage data in a decentralized manner and to be involved in decision making, such as specification changes.
The processing time for Lisk transfers is set to 10 seconds, allowing for quick transfers. There is no set limit to the number of Lisk issued, but the number of new issues is set to decrease every 3 million blocks.
