A passphrase is a string of 10 or more characters that is a combination of several words and is used when a customer forgets their ID or password, or when synchronizing the wallet with another device.
Due to the nature of decentralized wallets, if you do not manage this passphrase and fall into the situation described above, you will lose your assets, so please be careful.
A passphrase is a type of password, but the character string used is longer and more secure than a normal password. A passphrase consists of a string of 10 or more characters, whereas a normal password is generally around 8 characters. A passphrase is also called a "passphrase" because it is a sentence composed of several words. The passphrase is also generated with a meaningful phrase, which makes it memorable.
The passphrase for the Moonstake wallet consists of 12 random words that are easy for humans to remember.
If you lose your wallet ID and password, this passphrase is the only way to regain access to the coins stored in your wallet, so please store (backup) them carefully. Even in the unlikely event that the Moonstake wallet service is discontinued, your wallet can be restored to any other wallet as it was developed to the industry standard BIP44.
In order to protect your assets from online hacking and accidental data loss, we strongly recommend that you keep your passphrase offline in a notebook or notepad instead of leaving a copy or data on your computer.
Please note that the Moonstake wallet is non-deposit type, which means that Moonstake cannot reset your password or restore your passphrase in the wallet.
